Mixing Alcohol, Advil and Nyquil. What are the effects?
Q: I realize that mixing alcoholic beverages with Advil and NyQuil is a very bad thing to do. Can anyone tell me exactly what harm it may do to my body if I was to consume one or two of these while taking these medicines to combat the flu? Without being too descriptive I am Male, between 21 – 23 years old, weighing between 180 – 210lb’s and am in otherwise excellent physical condition with no allergies.
A: Advil can cause stomach bleeding when mixed with alcohol. Period. When you combine alcohol and ANY downer (Nyquil, in this case), you run the risk of seizures, coma, and death. Lay off the booze until you’re well. If you’ve got the flu, you shouldn’t feel like drinking in the first place.
